From my readings for the master's project

The only excuse a man has for writing is to write himself - to reveal to others the kind of world reflected in his individual world.

How to make lemon cupcakes

Found the recipe from my trawling of all my daily blogs. This one for easy reference when I'm away from the office's notebook.

Will post pictures if ever I make it. Hahaha.

Last Weekend of June

What a way to reach the second half of 2008. The weekend before, Jun 22 we celebrated a belated birthday for Lan by having the birthday noodles. His mother-in-law invited the whole clan with two crying babies to her house for this. It was a very interesting dish. Lan wanted no other but Pumpkin pie. So we made three for the luncheon. Afterwards, we gathered at his apartment for drinks and snacks.

The pumpkin pie.

That was last week. We had a BookCrossing meet-up and a farewell to Katie last Saturday. Taty mentioned that the first time we met Katie was at the same place, Bangsar Shopping Village. We had lots of new people which was introduced during the KLAB. I managed to get three people to fill up my master's questionnaire. Among the many tatted bookmarks I gave her, this is one which follows the pattern exact. Most of my bookmarks have a different tail.

The tatted bookmark.

From there, I went to *MadValley*. I have been yearning for a hand blender to make my yogurt drinks and smoothie since we *lost* the blender jar at home and I need all the calcium I can get. We were suppose to meet up at The Curve but the branch there only have Kenwood and it cost RM225 more than the Phillips which I got. So that is why I had to make a detour.

My new Philips HR1361 Hand Blender.

Finally, arrived at The Curve. Met up with sis and the kids. Bought a few items at Ikea. Then had dinner at CineLeisure. The next day - *total* rest. Stayed at home and helped mum cook dinner. Halim and partner came for dinner just before midnight. Which was a good thing because it will keep me awake for the final Euro 2008 - which was a bit lopsided me think. But Spain deserved the win - especially Torres.

All my hard work is gone

S I G H. I don't know how it happened. But now with computers and the Internet, things happened without our knowledge or HOW it happened in the first place. Luckily my other sections remained in tact.

All of you (those in Malaysia) have heard the phrase: MAKAN BOLA, TIDUR BOLA (eat ball, sleep ball) during the days of any footballing big events. But what about KERJA BOLA (work ball)?

I am proud and makes me *love* my employer more by having a futsal session during the Euro 2008. Here are some candid photos:
